Seeking Communications Interns

The US-Korea Institute at SAIS is currently seeking 1-2 communications interns for immediate hire and for the summer to help with a variety of marketing, public relations and social media development initiatives.

USKI internships are unpaid and applicants must be able to commit to at least 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

Communications interns will be responsible for various tasks, including (but not limited to) the following: managing and updating web content for multiple websites and social media platforms, tracking media coverage for institute activities/projects, creating event briefs, managing email newsletters, and preparing event materials.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Superior writing and editing skills – copywriting experience a plus
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Experience with content management programs (WordPress or other web editing/management platform)
  • Experience in some design programs (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Social media savviness (including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
