“Fading Away” showcases several exclusive stories from a group of Korean War veterans and refugees. Through a series of interviews and the use of rare historical film footage, photos and other archival material, veterans and survivors share their stories of catastrophe, fear, and pain which they so vividly remember. The film is divided into seven parts, strung together by the powerful recollections of a 13 year-old Korean War orphan who fled from the North to the South.

Christopher H.K. Lee’s film is unique because of the interesting, deeply emotional, and even disturbing stories told by its participants. These stories have never been told until now by the civilians, refugees, and orphans who lived through the war, shaping a very original documentary film that stands out from traditional war documentaries.

Christopher H.K. Lee has over 27 years of industry experience as a director and producer in the fields of architecture, video games, visual effects and animation. He also has over ten years of teaching experience at more than 12 different colleges in South Korea and the U.S. Chris has created and produced many 3D feature animated films and TV series with high profile producers and directors in the industry. He is an award winning entertainment content producer/director and has produced over 35 titles such as “Air Raid,” “What is Real,” “Element,” “Lost in Space,” “Extinct,” and “Dunes.”
