Expertise:
US-ROK relations, Korea’s domestic politics, North Korea and international relations in East Asia.
Background:
Yong Shik Choo is the deputy chairman of the US-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins SAIS, and an assistant professor at the Graduate School of International Studies at Chung Ang University (CAU) in Seoul, South Korea. He is also the deputy director of CAU’s Institute for the Study of Grand Strategy. Dr. Choo is a former visiting researcher at the Korea Institute of Defense Analysis and a visiting scholar at the Yoido Institute.
